Student Matthew L. recently interviewed fellow student Briana W., who has been at Newton Learning Center Northern Nevada since the fall of 2011, about the holidays:
ML: What was your favorite part of 2018?
BW: My favorite part of 2018 was Thanksgiving because I traveled and visited family.
ML: What are you looking forward to most this Christmas?
BW: I’m excited to feel grateful for what I have this Christmas.
ML: For 2019, what is something you’d love to accomplish or achieve?
BW: Next year, I want to accomplish the goal of being assertive and confident.
ML: If you could invent your own dessert, what would it be made of?
BW: I would add on to Jell-O by placing chocolate chips in it.
ML: Would you rather be your father or teacher for one day?
BW: My teacher because it would be easier teaching students than working in an office.
ML: If you had a catchphrase, what would it be?
BW: My catchphrase would be “Not my cup of tea.”
ML: Have you ever had a horrible Christmas? If so, why?
BW: Not necessarily horrible, but embarrassing because Silly String was sprayed into my face one year.
ML: Who is your favorite celebrity?
BW: It would have to be Katy Perry since I’m a huge fan of her music.
ML: What’s one of the funniest memories you’ve had?
BW: This would have to be when my sister tried to jump-scare me, but failed.
ML: Which Christmas themed candy is your favorite?
BW: It would have to be candy canes.
