Return to schools plan from Our Executive Director

Dear Second Start Families and Caregivers,
Our Pine Hill Schools in San Jose and Marina are currently providing distance learning. We are in the process of pursuing a waiver from Santa Clara County and will reach out to our families as soon as we have a date to begin in-person instruction, whether by means of waiver or lifting of state and county mandates.
For parents and caregivers in our California schools, you should have received an intake packet in the mail with our policies, procedures, information and expectations as well as your child’s teacher contacting you regarding details specific to their classroom. Here are quick links to Newton Learning Center San Jose, Edison Program San Jose and Pine Hill South in Marina where you can stay current on program updates and locate each teacher’s assignments and contact information.
On August 10th, the Newton Learning Center in Reno welcomed students back for in-person instruction. Our students are happy to be back in the classroom and with their friends!
